Addressed the VP of Sales' request for an ad hoc report on year-to-date sales volume by state for orders shipped from our California Distribution Center. 

Conducted data extraction from the ERP system via SQL queries, ensuring user requirements were met. Cleaned and formatted the data in a CSV file for optimal utilization in the data model. 

Leveraged Python to read and organize the data into a dataframe, subsequently merging it with a GeoJSON dataframe containing latitude and longitude information for sales transactions. 

Visualized the merged dataset using Folium, creating an interactive map with states color-coded based on quantity sold. The finalized map, including informative pop-up boxes, was saved as an HTML file and internally published.
